This classical style villa enjoys a quiet green location on the outskirts of Weimar’s historic centre, within easy walking distance of the city’s world-famous cultural attractions.

Come and enjoy a memorable stay in the 19th-century Villa Hentzel which was home to intellectual giants such as Rudolf Steiner and also hosted the Chilean Embassy.

The intimate, bright rooms are ideal for relaxing at the start of a full day of sightseeing. The Villa is just a short stroll from Goethe’s garden house, numerous museums, and the peaceful Ilmpark.

Upon request, your hosts can arrange city tours, museum visits, and restaurant bookings. Luggage can be stored at the hotel before check-in.

Area information

There are many visitor attractions in Weimar and the surrounding area. You can follow in the footsteps of the writers Goethe and Schiller, by visiting the Goethe national museum and Schiller’s former home, to name but a few.

Other UNESCO world-heritage sites include the Widow Palace, the St. Peter and Paul Town Church, the Residential Palace, the Duchess Anna Amalia Library, Be sure to visit the Park on the river Ilm with its Roman House, the Tiefurt Palace and Park, the Belvedere Palace and Orangery as well as Ettersburg Palace. The Bauhaus museum, Liszt museum, municipal museum and Gingko museum are also well worth a visit, as is the nearby Buchenwald concentration camp.
